Her Uncle calls her pup, her brother calls her squirt, her people call her mutt, and her friends call her A. Wolfe (a name that is more appropriate than they realize). Alayna Wolfe is not your typical teenage girl, she isn’t even your typical teenage werewolf. By the age of ten, she had already been condemned, scorned, and hunted half way across the country by her own people; and, after several years of peace and quiet, they’re back to finish the job. A fifteen year old with a mother who was a werewolf and a father who was a vampire finds herself thrown into the turmoil of a fight between two rivals. She stands with a foot in each world and both worlds are out to destroy her. When you are standing on a ledge from which you can’t see the ground, and there are flames on both sides of you, what do you do? Though she cannot see the way ahead, Alayna’s only chance of survival is to make that jump into the unknown. |
